Until, should we say, the 21st Century, nutrition in ophthalmology has been all but overlooked, indeed an afterthought, but after surgery is what we’re thinking about here. After all, what could be wrong with a healthy pre-operative diet? The father of healing, Hippocrates, concluded: “Our food should be our medicine.
